First Stationery Post | How I Got Into TheCoffeeMonsterzCo

If there is anything that I have picked up during the pandemic, then I have to say that it was stationery. It was not like I just suddenly picked up on it, though. Ever since I was younger, I had always felt like I was a pen and paper snob. I would be like: “This pen does not write well; this paper feels cheap.” The list goes on. Anyway, what rekindled the fire was stumbling upon onto TheCoffeeMonsterzCo.

I do not remember where I saw this post about how this Canadian girl (named Helen) grew her stationery business, and I was in love with her handwriting. It just looked so neat and like a font. Therefore I went to check out her store, and these little bald characters called Emotis caught my eye. They were just so simple and cute. I bought a couple of stickers to start with, and I was hooked since.

It probably does not help that I also joined the TheCoffeeMonsterzCo Facebook community, but the people there are some of the nicest people I have interacted with. This photo was inspired by some people who mentioned to use the Hobonichi Weeks kit in the Hobonichi Cousin since I was feeling unmotivated to use my Hobonichi Weeks lately. I decided to give it a try yesterday. I have not penned anything in yet, but I really like how it looks. The sleepy washi tapes are some of my favorites from TheCoffeeMonsterzCo. I am trying my best to be more “team use” as well since I need to use more of my stickers. I may have been buying a little too much ever since I have discovered them.

Here’s a breakdown of what I used

  • Notebook: Hobonichi Cousin Avec
  • Washi Tapes: TheCoffeeMonsterzCo
  • Stickers: TheCoffeeMonsterzCo, Every Minute A Story, Mandy Lynn Plans
